Gesendet: 17:34 - 18.11.2011 If you cut them from a sheet, be sure to get the best rubber quality available, it is still fairly cheap. i made bad experiences with cheap rubber not being sunlight-resistant. and, after cutting them out you can actually grind the edge with fine sandpaper to an angle about 45° to get an almost perfect result. have fun with your p3! klaus |

Gesendet: 10:14 - 22.11.2011 hi Ale, i don t know what material Ford Germany used for the Taunus and the suggestion of "KennerWanne" sounds very good to me. English Fords from that era used a type of foam-rubber (i got some readily cut from Australia, but they only do UK-Fords). I suppose you can buy this type of rubber foam in model-shops (toys). cheers Hans |

Gesendet: 20:48 - 22.11.2011 hi consul, hi ale, i would not recommend foam rubber as it soaks water and keeps it, (unless it is formed and has a closed skin outside) - and that is not something you want... so the best will be normal rubber i think. i did it on the booth handle of my p3: [Link zum eingefügten Bild] works perfect! |

Gesendet: 16:12 - 23.11.2011 hi guys, sorry i took the wrong expression and should have said foamed rubber (like the one that seals rearlights etc. but thinner), as foamrubber of course soaks water. but as "KennerWanne" already said, normal rubber will do the job as well. Ale, i suppose you thought of plastic, as the later handles have a plastic underlay (like Taunus TC1). |
