Greetings!
I apologize for not speaking/ writing German. My mother\'s ancestors lived in Ackmenischken/ Dunen in Elchniederung for several hundred years before immigrating to the US in the mid-nineteenth century. Some distant relatives lived in the area until forced to evacuate in WW II. Our family name is spelled in a number of ways--Lunczyns, Lundszien, Lundschien, & possibly Luncunas. I would be delighted to communicate with anyone familiar with the area of Ackmenischken or with the Lunczyns family. I am especially interested in learning about any pagan/ pre-Christian sites in the area.
